The congress (the International Forum for “Cervical and vulvo-vaginal diseases”), held from the 14th to the 17th of November, was attended by more than a thousand participants. Interest was particularly high for Fotona’s newly launched IntimaLase™ and IncontiLase™ treatments for vaginal relaxation syndrome and stress-urinary incontinence. The Fotona booth at the congress experienced an exceptionally high level of attendance, surpassing all expectations, with gynecological specialists from across the Russian republic expressing strong interest in the new minimally invasive procedures. Most of the lectures at the congress addressed the topic of clinical gynecology, although the topic of aesthetic gynecology attracted a significant share of attention from congress participants. Dr. O. Ferit Saracoğlu, president of the European Society of Cosmetic and Reconstructive Gynecology (ESCORG), gave a very well-received lecture that featured an overview of aesthetic gynecology treatments, with more than half of his lecture time devoted to the topic of Fotona’s new procedures.

•IncontiLase™ is a unique, non-invasive Er:YAG laser therapy for the treatment of mild and moderate stress urinary incontinence, based on non-ablative photothermal stimulation of collagen neogenesis, shrinking and tightening of vaginal mucosa tissue and collagen-rich endopelvic fascia, and subsequently greater support to the bladder.
