During the symposium more than 40 clinical experts from around the world presented the latest innovations and applications in the field of medical laser technology. The lecture topics were grouped into parallel sessions according to LA&HA’s three main research categories:
- Lasers in Aesthetics, Dermatology & Surgery
- Lasers in Dentistry
- Lasers in Gynecology
Many of the topics presented at this year’s Symposium discussed the unique Er:YAG treatment modality from Fotona known as SMOOTH mode, which enables highly effective yet minimally invasive, nonablative treatments in applications from skin tightening to laser vaginal rejuvenation. In the dental program, the ‘magical’ Er:YAG wavelength also made headlines with newer and more effective procedures for peri-implantitis, endodontic treatments and more.
The symposium also included demonstrations of some of the industry’s latest medical laser equipment, such as the new Dynamis systems from Fotona, the revolutionary MatrixView automatic skin temperature sensor and the novel Genova Nd:YAG biomodulation handpiece.
And of course there were numerous opportunities for networking and socializing with lecturers and fellow participants. In the evening, all LA&HA guests were invited to attend a dinner and beach party beach hosted by Fotona.
