During the symposium a total of 43 clinical lecturers from around the world presented the latest innovations and applications in the field of medical laser technology. The lecture topics were grouped into parallel sessions according to three main subject categories:
- Lasers in Aesthetics, Dermatology & Surgery
- Lasers in Dentistry
- Lasers in Gynecology
One of the more exciting technologies presented at this year’s Symposium was the Er:YAG super-long-pulse treatment modality known as SMOOTH mode, which enables highly effective yet minimally invasive, nonablative treatments in applications ranging from skin tightening to laser vaginal rejuvenation. In the dental program, participants were highly impressed with the hard- and soft-tissue treatment capabilities provided by digitally controlled laser handpieces.
The symposium also included hands-on demonstrations of some of the industry’s latest medical laser equipment, such as the new Dynamis & Spectro systems from Fotona, as well as numerous opportunities for networking and socializing with lecturers and fellow participants. In the evening, all LA&HA guests were invited to attend a special gala dinner hosted by Fotona as part of its 50th anniversary celebration.
